8 Practical Questions to Ask NeroPay Insights During Your Working Week

“How is the business doing?” is a natural question, but it is not always the easiest place to start a reporting conversation. Does it mean sales today, the current wallet balance or the progress of a recent transfer?

A more specific question gives an AI assistant a clearer task. It also makes the answer easier to check. You know which account, period and measure you asked about, rather than trying to interpret a broad summary with several possible meanings.

NeroPay Insights lets eligible merchants explore selected account reports through a compatible AI client using a read-only MCP connection. The prompts below turn its balance, sales, comparison and recent-transfer tools into a practical reporting routine. They are starting points—not commands that move money or change your account.

Before you begin: connect the right account

Check that Insights is available for your account and connect through a compatible client. Sign in directly as the merchant account owner, review the requested permissions and only grant the reporting access you intend to use.

If your business works with a NeroConnect platform, remember that the reporting connection still belongs to the authorised merchant account. Platform access or a staff “login as merchant” session does not automatically grant permission to connect Insights.

Once connected, start with one question. If information is unavailable, ask the assistant to say so explicitly. A missing result should not become a guessed figure or a zero.

1. Start the day with a clearly labelled balance

“Show my current NeroPay wallet and reserve balances. Keep currencies separate and explain any incoming-funds breakdown returned by the report.”

This establishes an account position before you look at trading activity. Ask for the labels as well as the amounts: a wallet balance and a reserve balance are different measures.

Incoming funds reported by Insights are already included in the wallet balance, not an extra amount to add. If a settlement breakdown is unavailable, the assistant should state that limitation. Do not treat the answer as a guaranteed amount available for immediate transfer.

2. Check today without comparing it with a full day

“Compare today’s gross sales so far with the same weekday last week, up to the same local time. Show the periods and keep each currency and channel separate.”

A mid-afternoon check becomes more meaningful when both periods end at an equivalent point. Otherwise, a partial day can look weak simply because the comparison includes several more trading hours.

Read the result as a description of recorded activity. It does not explain the cause of a change. Weather, opening hours or a promotion might be relevant, but the assistant should not invent those explanations from sales totals alone.

3. Give the last seven days a consistent structure

“Summarise gross sales and payment counts for the last 7 days, grouped by currency and channel. Include the reporting dates in your answer.”

This prompt is useful for a recurring review because it asks for the same structure each time. You can see the measure, the period and the grouping without piecing them together from a conversational paragraph.

Payment counts refer to recorded payment receipts. They should not be relabelled as unique orders, customers or visits. If your review needs order-level information, use the appropriate order report alongside the Insights summary.

4. Separate processed payments from other recorded activity

“For the last 7 days, distinguish NeroPay-processed sales from recorded cash and third-party card activity. Only show channels returned by the report, and keep currencies separate.”

This can help when your business records more than one way of taking payment. A cash entry may be relevant to trading performance, but it does not mean those funds passed through the NeroPay payment network.

Only recorded, supported information can appear in the answer. Insights cannot fill gaps in your records by estimating what happened elsewhere. If a channel is missing, investigate its recording process rather than assuming the assistant has a complete view of every sale.

5. Put a longer trend into context

“Compare gross sales for the last 30 days with the preceding 30 days. Show the absolute change and the percentage change where available, separately by currency and channel.”

A longer comparison can provide context for an unusually busy or quiet day. This is a rolling-period comparison, not automatically a comparison between two calendar months.

When the previous period is zero, a conventional percentage increase is not meaningful. Ask for the actual values instead. Likewise, an increase in gross sales is not evidence of an equivalent increase in profit: the Insights sales tools do not calculate your operating costs or net proceeds.

6. Find a transfer reference before investigating

“Show the references and statuses of my five most recent transfers. Explain the returned information without guessing an arrival time.”

This is a useful first step when you need to locate a recent request. A reference gives you something specific to check in NeroPay or discuss with support.

The current transfer tool returns references and statuses, not transfer amounts, fees or bank details. It cannot create, cancel or amend a transfer. For a question about the amount or destination, continue in the relevant account screen rather than asking the assistant to infer missing details.

7. Turn retrieved reports into a readable briefing

“Using only the reports retrieved in this conversation, write a short business briefing. Separate sales activity, wallet balances and transfer statuses. Include dates and currencies, and list anything the reports could not answer.”

This is a request to organise information already retrieved, not a separate reporting capability. It can help turn several answers into a summary you can review more easily.

Check the underlying figures before sharing the briefing. Preserve distinctions between measures, and avoid including sensitive business details in a conversation or document that is accessible to people who do not need them.

8. Ask what still needs checking

“Review your summary for unsupported assumptions. Which statements come directly from the returned reports, and which questions require another source or a check in NeroPay?”

A second pass can highlight where a summary goes beyond its evidence. For example, sales totals cannot tell you why a customer chose your business, and a transfer status alone cannot prove an arrival time.

This is still an AI review, not an independent audit. Its value is in making uncertainty visible so you can decide what to verify next.

Make the routine repeatable—not automatic

Save the prompts that are useful to your business and reuse them when you want an update. You might check balances at the start of a working day, review a same-time sales comparison later, and use the rolling-period questions for a broader review.

Saving a prompt does not schedule it. These examples do not establish background monitoring, automatic reports or notifications. They describe questions you can ask when using your connected client.

For NeroConnect platforms, the same principle applies per merchant: a consistent question format can improve support conversations, but it does not combine account permissions. Each authorised account remains its own reporting scope.

Start small, then ask a better follow-up

You do not need a complicated prompt library to get value from a reporting conversation. Start with a specific period and measure. Ask for clear labels. Then follow up on what the returned information actually shows.

Availability depends on merchant eligibility, granted permissions and compatible-client support. Insights provides read-only reports; AI-generated explanations should be checked against the underlying information before you act on them.
