Add Retail Products Faster with NeroAI in NeroPOS

Opening a grocery shop, convenience store or off-licence comes with a long to-do list. Getting every product into your till should not be the task that holds everything else up.

With NeroAI in NeroPOS, you can prepare products in bulk from uploaded photos and supported documents, use supplier invoices to help calculate selling prices, and review the results before importing them into your catalogue. Less repetitive typing, with the final decisions still in your hands.

Turn product photos into a catalogue

A first stock delivery can include drinks, snacks, groceries and household essentials, each with its own name, size and price. Instead of entering every product from scratch, upload product photos individually or together in a supported ZIP file.

NeroAI helps identify product names and suggest categories. Where enabled, it can also read visible barcode numbers. Clear photos of packaging and labels give it better information to work with.

The result is an editable preview, not an unchecked catalogue. Review the details, correct anything that needs attention and select the products you want to import.

Put your supplier invoice to work

Your supplier invoice is a useful starting point for pricing. Add it alongside your product import and NeroAI can extract purchase costs and match invoice lines to the scanned products using available barcodes and product details.

For matched items, you can prepare selling prices by applying your chosen percentage markup to the unit cost. Items that cannot be matched confidently can be checked and priced manually.

Before confirming, check that each match refers to the right product and pack size. A price for a case of 24 cans is not the same as the purchase cost of one can.

Choose prices that work for your shop

NeroAI can read visible retail prices or recommended retail prices from product packaging and shelf labels. When no price is visible, it may suggest an estimated retail price for a clearly identified product. Treat estimates as a starting point to review, not a verified market price.

Supplier-cost pricing gives you another option. For example, a unit cost of £1.00 with a 40% markup produces a selling price of £1.40. That is a markup on cost, not a 40% profit margin.

You remain in control of the final selling price. Check your costs, applicable tax treatment and any price-marked packaging before importing.

Review once, add in bulk

The workflow is straightforward:

  1. Upload clear product photos or a supported product document.
  2. Add a supplier invoice if you want to use purchase-cost pricing.
  3. Choose your markup and review the matched products.
  4. Check names, categories, barcodes, pack sizes and selling prices.
  5. Confirm the selected products and import them into NeroPOS.

Whether you are preparing for opening day or adding a new range, NeroAI helps reduce the repetitive work of building your product catalogue.

AI-generated details, cost matches and price suggestions should be checked before import. Results depend on the quality and contents of the uploaded files. Upload only documents you are authorised to use.
