Germany · NeroPOS + fiskaly

The security behind
the sale.

A German till needs more than a payment terminal. For systems covered by KassenSichV, a certified TSE provides the technical protection for transaction records.

NeroPOS connects to fiskaly’s cloud TSE, bringing fiscal signing into a supported German point-of-sale setup.

View fiskaly’s TSE certificates

BSI certification covers the TSE component. Your till configuration, receipts, exports, registration and operating procedures also matter.

01 · Set up

Start with the right configuration

Identify your business, register and fiscal requirements before activating your German installation.

02 · Record

Connect checkout to fiscal signing

The integrated TSE protects the relevant transaction records as part of the configured fiscal workflow.

03 · Retain

Keep a traceable history

Receipts, corrections and required fiscal exports form part of the records your business must keep.

Fiscal rules differ across Europe. Select your country to understand the terminology and what to confirm for your NeroPay setup.

Germany

Deutschland
NeroPOS TSE integration

KassenSichV · TSE · GoBD

A signed record behind every covered sale.

KassenSichV sets technical rules for covered electronic tills, including a certified technical security system (TSE). GoBD covers the completeness, traceability and retention of electronic business records.

  • NeroPOS integrates with fiskaly’s BSI-certified cloud TSE for supported German setups.
  • Your setup also needs the applicable receipt information, fiscal exports and registration obligations.
  • GoBD compliance includes your record-keeping procedures and documentation.

Austria

Österreich
Austrian fiscal rules

RKSV

Receipt signatures. A traceable record.

The Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung (RKSV) sets security requirements for applicable Austrian cash registers, including a signature or seal unit and a data capture log.

  • The register and security unit need the applicable FinanzOnline registration.
  • Starting receipts, ongoing records and periodic checks form part of the process.
  • Ask for the Austrian fiscal setup and documentation for your NeroPay installation.

France

France
French fiscal rules

Secure till software · NF525

Four principles for reliable till records.

For businesses within scope, French rules require inalterability, security, retention and archiving of till data. NF525 is one recognised certification route; the applicable evidence can also be an individual publisher attestation under current rules.

  • The evidence must match the actual software or till functionality in use.
  • Your business activity and VAT position determine whether the obligation applies.
  • Ask our team for the documentation covering your French setup.

Italy

Italia
Italian fiscal rules

Corrispettivi telematici · SdI

Receipts and invoices, in the right channels.

Italian fiscal rules distinguish the electronic recording and transmission of daily takings from electronic invoicing. Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) is the exchange system used for electronic invoices.

  • Applicable daily takings need the appropriate Agenzia delle Entrate reporting setup.
  • Electronic payment instruments and receipt-recording systems have specific linking obligations.
  • Confirm receipt transmission and e-invoicing separately for your business.

Spain

España
Spanish fiscal rules

SIF · VERI*FACTU · TicketBAI

Choose the rules for your tax territory.

Spain’s invoicing-system rules cover traceable billing records. VERI*FACTU is the mode that sends invoice records to the AEAT. TicketBAI is a separate framework used in the Basque territories.

  • The relevant tax territory matters when choosing your setup.
  • VERI*FACTU and non-VERI*FACTU systems have different technical obligations.
  • Confirm the applicable regime, activation and timetable with our team and your adviser.

Netherlands

Nederland
Dutch record-keeping rules

Belastingdienst record-keeping

Complete records. Ready to inspect.

A till system is part of your business administration. Dutch tax guidance focuses on accurately recording transactions and keeping the records available for inspection.

  • Keep sales, corrections and supporting records complete and accessible.
  • Apply the retention period relevant to the type of record.
  • Discuss your records and export workflow with your accountant.

United Kingdom

United Kingdom
UK digital record-keeping

VAT records · Making Tax Digital

Connect sales records to your accounts.

Making Tax Digital for VAT requires digital records and compatible submission software for businesses in scope. Digital links matter when more than one software package is used.

  • Keep the sales, purchases and supporting records required by HMRC.
  • Choose the appropriate accounting connection and VAT submission software.
  • ICO registration and UK data protection duties are separate from tax reporting.

Ireland

Éire / Ireland
Irish record-keeping rules

Revenue VAT records

A clear record of every transaction.

Irish Revenue requires full and true VAT-related business records. Detailed, up-to-date sales and purchase records help establish the correct VAT liability and support inspections.

  • Retain invoices, receipts, credit notes and relevant till records.
  • Keep an audit trail that allows each transaction to be checked.
  • Agree the required records and retention arrangements with your accountant.

Lithuania

Lietuva
Lithuanian fiscal rules

i.EKA

Fiscal receipt data, reported to VMI.

Lithuania’s i.EKA system receives cash-register receipt data. Businesses in scope must use an appropriate permitted register solution and meet the relevant data-reporting obligations.

  • Check the permitted model and applicable cash-register requirements.
  • Receipt-data reporting is a separate requirement from accepting a card payment.
  • Confirm a supported Lithuanian fiscal solution before activating your installation.

Beyond the receipt

Good records keep
your business moving.

Fiscal signing, record-keeping and e-invoicing solve different needs. Knowing the difference helps you choose the right workflow.

GoBD & digital records

Germany’s GoBD principles address the orderly keeping and retention of electronic books, records and documents, including access for tax authorities.

Complete records, traceable changes, retention and documented procedures belong together. A TSE is one part of the fiscal picture.

Visit the NeroPay Trust Centre
Does every country use a TSE?

No. TSE is part of Germany’s fiscal framework. Austria uses RKSV, France has secure till software requirements, and Spain has SIF rules alongside separate territorial regimes such as TicketBAI. Your installation must follow the rules that apply where you trade.

What does BSI certification cover?

It covers the certified TSE component used in the supported German integration. It does not certify all NeroPay products or every aspect of a merchant’s business. Correct setup and the wider record-keeping obligations still apply.

Can I activate fiscal features for my business?

Contact NeroPay with your country, business type and the products you use. Our team will confirm the applicable fiscal module, activation steps, documentation and any related charges before you go live.

Does ICO registration mean GDPR certification?

No. Our ICO registration is a publicly checkable company reference. Data protection compliance involves ongoing responsibilities. You can read about personal data handling and your rights in our privacy information.

Is card-only trading automatically exempt?

No. Accepting only card payments does not by itself remove fiscal or record-keeping obligations. Check the local rules for your business and its checkout system.

Do I still need my accountant?

Yes. Your accountant or tax adviser can confirm which obligations apply to your business. NeroPay can help with product configuration and the documentation for the supported integration.
